You know how it is

September 11, 2007

Guess what I’m doing right now (other then watching Avitable’s video blogs that is). I’m sitting on the couch in the living room, watching T.V…. as I update my blog. I remember my days of being forced to sit at my laptop desk as the phone cord was my chains. No freedom what-so-ever. Now I have wireless, I could go outside if I wanted to! But it’s raining out so I won’t…

I know, I’m bragging. I’m getting too used to this unbelievable freedom. I’m going to die of shock when I go home on Friday. But I’m thinking about not going home on Friday. I’ve been told that there are parties every Friday, and since my parents took off for the weekend and Nifty is working late Friday and then early Saturday, what’s the point in going home on Friday when I could go home on Saturday night too? I really need to hang out with the people I met in class outside of class. All of my class instructors are saying the same thing; you need to do more then just school work or you will burn out. Basically, they are telling us to go to parties and get smashed, but they also tell us to be smart about it. I’ll be very smart about it, since I don’t really like drinking anyway, I just like the company. Anyways, that’s my plan so far. I still need to call B1 and talk to her about it.

It’s official, I’ve handed in my application to switch my Community Development class for Community Development plus Aboriginal Emphasis. This means I don’t have to go to my Community Development seminar tomorrow morning at 9am and I won’t have to leave until 1pm. Which means that technically I could go out tonight, if I wanted to deal with the public transit system. I’m gonna call my friend from high school who lives down the road from me and see if she wants to do anything, but if she doesn’t I’m not going to bother since everyone else lives down town.

Anyways, I just finished reading Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer, the third installment to the Twilight series. A while ago, I wrote an unofficial review on both Twilight and New Moon (ok so it was more like me expressing my love for the books, whatever, go read it anyway). I got both Avi and Gabby to read Twilight and they both told me they liked it.

Now truthfully, I didn’t like New Moon as much as I liked Twilight, although I still loved it. I didn’t like it for one reason, which anyone would figure out if they read the book. I don’t want to spoil the plot for anyone else, but my favourite character was missing for most of the book. That’s all I’m going to say. It was still really freaking awesome, so go buy and read New Moon.

Eclipse

Eclipse was completely and totally awesome. I loved it. Damnit! The hardest part about talking about these books is holding back the secrets and plot spoilers!! But take my word for it, it was awesome. So ya, I demand everyone go out and read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.

Wayne, it’s an awesome book to get interested in! I wish I could be as interested in my text books as I am this book!

Blondeblogger, I know how you feel! I spent my entire computer before life on dialup! It sucks!]]>
