Another Life Was Stole

December 6, 2007

Brad

On Tuesday, December 4th, one of my friends from High School died as a result of an auto accident. He drove straight out of our high school and into the guardrail that separates the highway. Although we weren’t tight and I could have known him better, Brad and I hung out a lot while I was dating his best friend, Reaper. I have hilarious memories involving Brad, Mary Jane, plastic cups, lighters and Barbie dolls.

It seems so surreal, and so many people are missing Brad right now. Myself included. I don’t understand why this had to happen. I don’t know why Brad drove into the guardrail while he was speeding anyway. But I guess in the end only Brad knows…

His visitation and funeral are this weekend. I’m getting rid of my shifts so I can go. To be there for Reaper.

Brad was a good guy, he was always there when you needed to talk to someone. He gave advice and made people laugh. He was well liked and the entire school and beyond feels the pain of his loss. I send my thoughts and prayers to his family, who are going through the pain of losing another child.

Brad, you will be missed. You touched so many people’s lives and I wish you had known that before this happened. I wish you had known the affect that your death would have upon us all. I miss you, we all do, and you will be remembered.

< ![CDATA[So sorry to hear about Brad. I can relate to your and Avitable's experiences, and I remember how very wrong it felt to graduate without some of my acquaintences who'd been killed just weeks short of graduating. It's sad how commonly this occurs in our age group. Losing someone in highschool in this manner is like some kind of terrible right of passage.]]>

Girl, Dislocated; that’s very true…it sucks so much. Words can’t describe it.

Rik; it does change things, it has changed things already.]]>
